HEARING AID PRICES
Hearing aids are sold not simply as products, but as solutions which include hearing tests, hearing aid programming, device servicing and other essential after-sales support.
The price of a hearing aid in Singapore thus depends on the brand and model of the hearing aid, and on the value-adds offered by the hearing centre selling the device.

Generally speaking, the cost of a hearing aid will be from around $800 to $8,000 (excl. GST) per piece (i.e. if you need a device for both ears, it will cost double).
A large contributing factor to price differences between models will be due to differences in the feature and specification set of the hearing aid, with advanced models costing significantly more than basic models, even within the same brand.
We are so confident about our prices that we have a best solution guarantee. Our hearing aid price includes our Crystal Hearing "Full-Long-Life-Service" which means unlimited professional cleaning, changing of tubes and domes, and all re-testing and fine-tuning sessions during the lifespan of the hearing aid. These free after-sale services give you total peace of mind that you will be well looked after at Crystal Hearing.

Hearing Aid Subsidies in Singapore
There are 2 main subsidies available in Singapore that help to make hearing aids more affordable for those with hearing loss. They are the Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) and the Assistive Technology Fund (ATF).

To apply for these schemes, you will need to approach an application administrator or assessor from institutions such as hospitals or social service agencies (e.g. a therapist or social worker).
Note: Crystal Hearing does not provide services to assist with the application of subsidies.

Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund
The SMF is a scheme designed to provide aid to Singaporeans aged 60 and above who are staying at home and in need of a mobility or assistive device like a hearing aid. They can also receive subsidies for home healthcare items such as diapers and catheters under this scheme.
This helps alleviate the cost of ageing for seniors in Singapore and allows them to remain active within their community.
Eligibility criteria
The applicant must:
-
Be a Singaporean citizen who is 60 years old and above
-
Be residing at home and not in a nursing home or sheltered home
-
Be assessed by a qualified assessor for the type of device required
-
Have a monthly household income of $2,000 and below per person
The applicant must also be able to co-pay the assessment fee and the price of the device.
Moreover, they should not be receiving or applying for any other public or private grant or subsidy that would exceed the co-payment amount under the SMF.
Subsidy amount (for assistive devices)
Up to 90% of the cost of the mobility aid or the maximum device subsidy cap.
Note: If you are not eligible for the SMF, find out what your next steps are and how Crystal Hearing can support you in your hearing healthcare journey.

Assistive Technology Fund
The ATF is a scheme that helps individuals with disabilities lead their lives more independently by providing subsidies on the cost of assistive technology devices like hearing aids.
Eligibility criteria
The applicant must:
-
Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
-
Be certified to have any one of the following permanent disabilities:
-
Physical disability
-
Intellectual disability
-
Hearing impairment
-
Visual impairment
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
-
Be assessed by a qualified assessor for the type of device required
-
Have a monthly household income of $2,000 and below per person
Subsidy amount (for assistive devices)
Up to 90% of the cost of the assistive technology device, with a lifetime cap of $40,000.
Note: Seniors who have successfully applied for the ATF before 60 years old will be supported by the scheme while those who did not apply for this scheme before 60 years old will be supported by the SMF instead.
